Matter to be notified regarding the amendment made in clause xi of paragraph 2.2 of Part 2 of the Indian Flag Institute, 2002

As per Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India's Reference Guide from the country, the display and hoisting of the Indian National Flag is regulated by the Prevention of Insult to National Honor Act 1971 and the Indian Flag Code 2002 which is available on the Group Ministry's website Part 2 of the Indian Flag Code 2002 with the approval of the competent authority. Paragraph No. 2.2 of Clause xi is amended accordingly. The excise flag may be displayed or hoisted in the open or may be displayed or hoisted at the house of a member of the public and may be hoisted during the day or night. It is a humble request to your department and subordinate offices and through the offices to take necessary action so that the amendment in the Indian Flag Code, 2002 reaches maximum number of people and people become aware of the amendment.
Our national flag is tricolor. Tricolor symbolizes the unity of our country. It introduces independent India. Our national flag has three colors that Mr. White and green represents the value of sacrifice and dedication of the people of India. White color represents peace, goodwill and cleanliness. Green color is the prosperity of India. and shows joy. The 24 arrows in our tricolor represent the continuous progress of our country. The Constituent Assembly of India adopted this form of our national flag on 22 July 1947. A model of our tricolor was prepared by Dhingliwe. On 26 January 1950, the Constitution promulgated the Tricolor as our national flag. Our national flag is our joy and pride. Our country has to go to great lengths to keep this tricolor forever. Tricolors are a symbol of our national identity. I will always try to preserve this tricolor. I pledge that from August 13 to August 15 I will hoist tricolors at home and inspire my friends and relatives to hoist tricolors too.

In order to make Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan successful in all India from 12th to 15th August 2022 under Azadi Kamod Mahotsav of the Government of India and also for the various activities to be done under it, from 22nd to 15th August 2020 duty in Zilla Panchayat office and all subordinate offices of Zilla Panchayat All officers and employees on duty shall be permitted to leave the headquarters on leave, thereby directing all officers and employees to be present at the headquarters.
