Important decisions of the state government in the interest of teachers

As per the direction of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, decisions were taken to touch more than two lakh teacher families.
Till now 40% of the vacancies in that district were given the benefit of district reshuffle to the teachers which will now be given the benefit of district reshuffle in one hundred percent of the vacancies.
The provision that the district was required to be the hometown of the teachers concerned in and around the district is being removed.
Teachers who have been appointed on the condition of working in one place for 10 years will be able to apply for transfer even after 5 years.
Spouses of government employees who are eligible to be transferred from one district of the state to another can be placed on deputation if they were primary school teachers in a government school.
In case of spouses, from now on the benefit will also be available in the case of subsidized institutions, public enterprises of Gujarat government, central and state government companies.
A grievance redressal committee was constituted for redressal of grievances in case of transfers.
State Education Minister Shri Jitubhai Waghan has said that important decisions have been taken by the state government regarding the song of education of students and the rules regarding the transfer of headmasters to the state's education assistant primary teachers for the administration which will benefit more than two lakh teachers. Education Minister Shri Waghan added that the rules regarding transfer of primary teachers were framed ten years ago. In this regard, the Chief Minister of the state Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel has directed to make important changes in the rules with full sympathy. Shri Bhikhabhai Patel, President of Gujarat State Educational Union, Shri Digvijaysinh Jadeja, President of Gujarat State Primary Teachers Union, with the office bearers of the Mandal, Secretary of Education Department, Shri Vinod Rao, Director of Primary Education, Shri Mahesh Joshi and other senior officials held a fruitful meeting in stages. This decision has been hailed by the unions as a historic decision.
