According to the Indian Knowledge System stated in the National Education Policy 2020, it is imperative that students studying in Gujarat state schools get acquainted with the glorious culture of India and its heritage and take pride in being Indian. Indian culture plays a role in the holistic development of students in many ways. A lot of work has been done in many fields in India since ancient times. In this work, Vedic mathematics plays an important role in strengthening and simplifying the foundation of students 'mathematics subject. Using Vedic mathematics can increase students' enthusiasm and confidence towards the subject.
National Education Policy 2020 Adult consideration of the above matters is finally concluded as follows: Under the School of Excellence, compulsory implementation of Vedic Mathematics will be compulsory in 20000 government and aided schools of double choice. While in other government aided and self-reliant schools it will have to be implemented on a voluntary basis keeping in view the local situation.
From the academic year 2022, Vedic mathematics will have to be implemented in phases, in which the first phase will be to take standard 6 7 and 9 in the academic year 2022 and 23 and the second phase will have to take standard 10and 8..
