State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama arrived at Kevadia this morning to pay homage to Shulpaneshwar Mahadev, where he said after the puja that after Std-6 to 8, now we are also thinking of starting Std-1 to 5 schools. We will take a decision in the core committee after consulting the health department and academics. It may be mentioned that standard 6 to 12 schools have been opened with 50 per cent capacity. However only 15 per cent students are coming to school. However, the Education Minister is in a hurry to start Std. 1 to 5 schools.

State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that we have been successful in starting schools first in colleges, then in classes 10 to 12 and from last week in classes 6 to 8. Parents have sent children to schools and they too have come to schools enthusiastically and teachers are also teaching enthusiastically. In these circumstances, we are also thinking of starting Std-1 to 5 schools now. We will take a decision in the core committee after consulting the health department and academics.
Classes 6th to 8th started from 2nd September
Earlier, after the announcement of the state government, classes 6 to 8 in state schools were started from September 2, with approval to start classes with 50 per cent enrollment. Along with this, the rules of social distance, compulsory mask are also being followed as classes 9 to 12 are running. Arrangements for hand wash and sanitizer are being provided by the schools. Along with offline, online education is also ongoing. Government and private schools will have to follow the instructions from the government.
