 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya or Navodaya Vidyalaya is an education project implemented by the Government of India. The main objective of this experiment is to provide quality education to the smallest village in India, that too without reference to any socio-economic ability of the student. Navodaya Vidyalaya was first established in 1985 by the then "Human Resource Development Minister" P.V. It was the brainchild of Narasimha Rao (who later became the Prime Minister of India).
