આજની દુનિયામાં સ્માર્ટફોન (smartphone) એક અત્યંત ઉપયોગી અને પ્રાથમિક જરૂરીયાત બની ગયો છે. ઘણા લોકો તેમની બેંકિંગ માહિતી કે તેમના પર્સનલ ડેટાને (Personal data) સ્માર્ટફોનમાં સંગ્રહિત કરે છે. આ ઉપરાંત, સ્માર્ટફોનમાં પરિવારના સભ્યોના ફોટા અને વીડિયો પણ સ્ટોર કરે છે.
પરંતુ જો તમારો સ્માર્ટફોન ચોરાઈ જાય અથવા ખોવાઈ જાય તો તેમાં રહેલા તમારા ડેટાનો મિસયુઝ (Misuse of data) થવાની શક્યતા વધી જાય છે. અને જો આવું થાય તો તમે મોટી મુશ્કેલીમાં મુકાઈ શકો છો.. કેમ કે જે વ્યક્તિ પાસે તમારો સ્માર્ટફોન છે તે તમારા ફોટાઓ, વીડિયો અથવા નાણાકીય માહિતીનો દુરુપયોગ કરી શકે છે.
આ સમસ્યાને ઉકેલવા માટે જ સરકારે CEIR એટલે કે Central Equipment Identity Register પોર્ટલ બનાવ્યું છે. જેની મદદથી તમે ખોવાયેલા અથવા ચોરાયેલા સ્માર્ટફોનને બ્લોક કરી શકો છો. આ પોર્ટલ પર જવા માટે તમે www.ceir.gov.in સાઈટની મુલાકાત લેવી પડશે. તો ચાલો કામની વાતમાં જાણીએ કેવી રીતે આ પોર્ટલથી તમે તમારો મોબાઈલ બ્લોક (Mobile block) કરી શકો છો.
ખોવાયેલ કે ચોરાયેલ મોબાઈલને આ રીતે કરો બ્લોક
સૌ પ્રથમ તમે CEIRની વેબસાઈટ www.ceir.gov.in પર જાઓ
અહીં તમને Block Stolen/ Lost Mobile વિકલ્પ જોવા મળશે જેના પર ક્લિક કરો
ત્યારબાદ જે પેજ ખુલશે તેમાં તમારી અને તમારા મોબાઈલની માંગવામાં આવેલી વિગતો ભરો
જેમાં તમારો મોબાઈલ નંબર, IMEI નંબર, સ્માર્ટફોન કંપની, બિલની તારીખ અને ફોન નંબર તેમજ તમારી પોલીસ ફરિયાદની નકલ દાખલ કરો
આગળ સેલફોન માલિકનું નામ, સરનામું, પાન કાર્ડ, આધાર કાર્ડ, ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાઇસન્સ અને ઓળખ સાથે ફોર્મ ભરો
આ પ્રક્રિયા પૂર્ણ કર્યા પછી તમે આપેલા નંબર પર એક OTP પ્રાપ્ત થશે, જે બાદ વેરિફિકેશનની પ્રક્રિયા પૂર્ણ થશે
અને હવે છેલ્લે સબમિટ બટન પર ક્લિક કરવાથી તમારો મોબાઈલ ફોન બ્લોક થઈ જશે
આ સાથે તમારે અન્ય એક પ્રક્રિયા પણ હાથ ધરવી જરૂરી છે.
મોબાઈલ ખોવાઈ કે ચોરાઈ જવા પર આટલું અવશ્ય કરો
સૌથી પહેલા તો નજીકના પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં એક FIR દાખલ કરવી દો
જે ભવિષ્યમાં તમારા સ્માર્ટફોનનો દુરુપયોગ થવાના કિસ્સામાં તમને કાયદેસર રીતે મદદ કરશે
સાથે જ ડિપાર્ટમેન્ટ ઓફ ટેલિકમ્યુનિકેશન (Department of Telecommunication) એટલે કે DoTમાં પણ ફરિયાદ કરો
DoTના હેલ્પલાઈન નંબર 14422 ડાયલ કરી તમે ફરીયાદ નોંધાવી શકો છો
જ્યારે બીજી કોઈ વ્યક્તિ તમારા ડીવાઈસનો ઉપયોગ કરવાનો પ્રયાસ કરશે કે તરત જ તમારા સર્વિસ પ્રોવાઈડર (Service Provider)ને તેની માહીતી મળી જશે
મોબાઈલ સર્વિસ પ્રોવાઈડર જેમ કે BSNL, Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea વગેરે ડિપાર્ટમેન્ટ ઓફ ટેલિકોમ્યુનિકેશન સાથે જોડાયેલા છે
આવા કિસ્સામાં તમે તમારો મોબાઈલ ફોન પાછો મેળવી શકો છો
પરત મળેલા મોબાઈલ ફોનને અનબ્લોક કરવા માટે તમે ફરી www.ceir.gov.in સાઈટની મુલાકાત લો
જ્યાં તમે Un-block Found Mobile બટન પર ક્લીક કરો
જે પેજ તમારી સામે ખુલશે તેમાં જરૂરી માહિતી ભરી સબમીટ કરતા જ તમારો મોબાઈલ અનબ્લોક (Mobile Unblock) થઈ જશે.

In today's world smartphone has become a very useful and basic necessity. Many people store their banking information or their personal data in smartphones. Apart from this, the smartphone also stores photos and videos of family members.
But if your smartphone is stolen or lost, the possibility of misuse of your data in it increases. And if this happens you can be in big trouble.. because the person who has your smartphone can misuse your photos, videos or financial information.
To solve this problem, the government has created CEIR i.e. Central Equipment Identity Register portal. With the help of which you can block a lost or stolen smartphone. To go to this portal you have to visit the site www.ceir.gov.in. So let's know how you can block your mobile with this portal.
Block a lost or stolen mobile in this way
First of all you go to CEIR website www.ceir.gov.in
Here you will see Block Stolen/Lost Mobile option click on it
Then fill the requested details of you and your mobile in the page that will open
In which enter your mobile number, IMEI number, smartphone company, bill date and phone number as well as a copy of your police complaint
Next fill the form with cellphone owner's name, address, PAN card, Aadhaar card, driving license and identification
After completing this process, an OTP will be received on the number you provided, after which the verification process will be completed
And now finally click on submit button your mobile phone will be blocked
Along with this you need to carry out another process as well.
Be sure to do this in case your mobile is lost or stolen
First of all lets lodge an FIR in the nearest police station
Which will help you legally in case of misuse of your smartphone in future
Also complain in Department of Telecommunication (Department of Telecommunication) i.e. DoT
You can lodge a complaint by dialing DoT's helpline number 14422
As soon as someone else tries to use your device, your service provider will get the information.
Mobile service providers like BSNL, Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea etc. are affiliated with the Department of Telecommunication.
In such case you can get your mobile phone back
To unblock the returned mobile phone you visit www.ceir.gov.in site again
Where you click on the Un-block Found Mobile button
Your mobile will be unblocked as soon as you submit the required information in the page that will open in front of you.
