Gujarat Pride Day Celebration: Government Gifts to 9.38 Lakh Government Employees-Pensioners on Gujarat Foundation Day, 3% Increase in Expensive Allowances

The tradition of celebrating national holidays at different district headquarters instead of in the state capital was started by the then Chief Minister and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As part of that series, Gujarat Foundation Day is being celebrated today in Patan district, which is important in North Gujarat of the state. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has made an important announcement for the employees of the state government and retired employees on the day of Gujarat Pride. 9.38 lakh employees-pensioners will get this benefit from the Seventh Pay Commission. The difference of ten months of inflation allowance due from 01-07-2021 will be paid in two installments.

Gujarat Government has made a big announcement for government employees on Gujarat Foundation Day. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has announced a 7 per cent hike in the dearness allowance of employees and pensioners benefiting from the state government's Sixth Pay Commission. Employees of the 7th pay commission will be given a 3 per cent increase. Commendable decision to give with effect from July 1, 2021.

10 months arrears will be paid to employees in 2 installments

According to the decision, the employees of the state government, panchayat service and other employees of the state government and pensioners will get this additional benefit of expensive allowance. The government has decided to pay the arrears of ten months in two installments with this 3 per cent increase in the inflation allowance to be paid with effect from July 1, 2021. The first installment will be given in May 2022 and the second installment will be given in June 2022.
