PM Kisan is a Central Sector scheme with 100% funding from Government of India.
It has become operational from 1.12.2018.
Under the scheme an income support of 6,000/- per year in three equal installments will be provided to all land holding farmer families.
Definition of family for the scheme is husband, wife and minor children.
State Government and UT administration will identify the farmer families which are eligible for support as per scheme guidelines.
The fund will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
There are various Exclusion Categories for the scheme.

The following categories of beneificiaries of higher economic status shall not be elligible for benefit under the scheme.

All Institutional Land holders.

Farmer families which belong to one or more of the following categories:.
i)
Former and present holders of constitutional posts
ii)
Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils,former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
iii)
All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies
(Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees)
vi)
All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000/-or more
(Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of above category
v)
All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year
vi)
Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practices.

Rupees were transferred directly to farmers' accounts
In the new year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big gift to the farmers. PM Modi has transferred Rs 20,946 crore to the accounts of 10.09 crore farmers. Modi has transferred 10th installment under Kisan Nidhi Yojana. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was also present.
The Prime Minister has transferred more than Rs 20,000 crore to more than 10 crore beneficiary farming families through video-conferencing. Beneficiary farmer families are given Rs. 6000 per annum under PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana. It is transferred directly to the farmers' accounts by the government.
Net Zero Carbon Emissions Target by 2070
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said that under the leadership of the world against climate change, India has also set a target of net zero carbon emissions for the world by 2070. Today, India is working on a hydrogen mission.
It is to be mentioned that for many days there was speculation about the date of installment of two thousand rupees being given under PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana, but only a few days ago the government informed about the transfer of mobile money to the farmers through SMS. Now rupee has also been transferred directly to farmers' accounts.
Farmers have benefited from this scheme from time to time
The first installment was given by the government in February 2019.
The second installment was transferred on 2 April 2019.
The third installment was given in August 2019.
The fourth installment was paid in January 2020.
The fifth installment was transferred on April 1, 2020.
The sixth installment was transferred on 1 August 2020.
The seventh installment was paid in December 2020.
The eighth installment was paid on 14 May 2021.
The 9th installment was given on 9th August 2021.
The elevanth installment has been transferred to the farmers' accounts today i.e. on1 st june, 2022.
