Provisions regarding disciplinary action to be taken in respect of employees to whom the provisions of Gujarat State Service Rules 181 are applicable. After the publication of this booklet, some new provisions have been introduced in Gujarat State Service Discipline and Appeal Rules 181 by amending them from time to time. Resolution circulars have also been issued with more clarity of rules. In the year 1993, some resolutions and circulars have been canceled as per the guidelines. There was a need to update the guidelines for departmental investigation keeping in view the purpose of proper use of this booklet. came.
This booklet has not been prepared as an alternative to scientific rules or instructions in travel but has been studied with the intention of providing simple language guidance to the employees involved in the departmental investigation procedure so that any prospective employee may present anything written in this booklet as a defense. Neither the officer nor the staff officers acting on their behalf will be able to keep this booklet as a basis during the departmental investigation.
