"Pancharangi School" built in Than taluka with public support
There is a saying in Gujarati, "Parishram e j phasmani" but this saying has been proved by Sarodi Primary School of Thane taluka. The school principal Mr. Ketan Gadani and his wife Dipti Gohel Gadani have been associated with the school for the last many years. The couple and other teachers at the school are always ready to do whatever they want or do at school, realizing that the students are their own children.
In the merit year of the academic year 2010-11, the school got A + grade for its physical facility and got D grade for academic matter. While Ketan Bhai was looking for different ways on how to upgrade the school's academic grade, other teachers of the school also started working shoulder to shoulder with him. As a result, from the year 2013-14 till now, this school has got A ++ grade for physical facilities and A grade for educational matters.
> Activity done by the school family during free time during Corona
During Koro's time, other teachers of Diptiben School were given TLM. Giving information on how to make children like. At the same time free time was used and work was done on the benches in the school grounds, coloring in the tree trunks etc. After seeing Ketanbhai's post on social media, a ceramic company in Thane contacted Ketanbhai and told him about their waste ceramic items for school use. Using which he planted various trees in the school and created a paradise. Diptiben also conducted non-academic activities through "Joyful Sunday" on Sundays during the lockdown. The masks are made and distributed to the villagers. Decoctions have been distributed 12 times with indigenous herbs and ration kits have also been distributed to needy families. The Gram Panchayat has dumped 200 tractors in the school.
> Distribution of free sanitary pads to school children
Since 2011, Dipti Ben has been personally communicating with the students and giving them sanitary pads at her own expense so that no child is absent due to menstruation and they get proper instructions. For the disposal of sanitary pads, there is a leaf compartment near the women's toilet in which the pads are filled up to a certain level and then placed on a wooden stove. Alumni of the school as well as older women are trained to use sanitary pads twice a year. Since the school is currently closed due to Corona, work was done to keep the Anganwadi of the village together so that every daughter of the school can get a pad.
> School construction with public support
From filling the ground in the school grounds to painting the walls of the classrooms, donations have been received by talking to the villagers as well as the ceramic company around the school. From the donations received, the grand entrance of the school, water festival, ground wall, till now more than 200 tractors have been used to prepare the soil by digging the soil and color work has been done on the walls of the classroom.
